Our Emblem

The emblem of Clans of Ireland is rendered in Celtic fashion and reflects the values of Gaelic society. Within the emblem we see an older man, possibly a Chieftain, passing a smouldering flame to a younger man, possibly his Tanist or successor. This symbolises the handing on of Gaelic traditions and culture from one generation to the next. Contained within this symbol is the importance of valuing the experience and wisdom of the elder while at the same time recognising the energy and strength of youth, both of which are needed to carry forward the traditions and culture of a Gaelic Ireland.
